My name is Dr. Michael Jablon.
For over the past 35 years, I have successfully helped individuals experiencing overwhelming levels of anxiety, stress, and worry.
The majority of my clients fall into two categories. The first includes adults overwhelmed by anxiety and stress. My second area of focus is working with high school and college-age children. As a subcategory of the latter, I also work with high school students facing the often intimidating and stressful college application process.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss your current situation and the possible speed bumps you or your loved ones may be facing. Please contact me either by phone or email to schedule a complimentary on-screen meeting. I want to hear your story. I will provide the guidance required to relieve your stress and anxiety.
Things you should know about me:
I was born in Santa Monica, California, and raised in West Los Angeles.
After being recruited by San Diego State University's track team and offered a full scholarship. However, an ankle injury during a pick-up basketball game ended my running career before entering my junior year.
With my athletic career suddenly brought to a close, I focused on psychology. This subject matter had always attracted me due to its commitment to helping people live better lives.
After receiving my undergraduate and master's degrees, I worked for the University of California Santa Cruz as a counselor, teacher, and director of the psychology advising office.
After four and a half years in the workforce, I returned to academia, receiving my doctorate in psychology from Boston University.
I have experienced life from the west coast, mid-west, and the east coast, which has provided me with an incredible opportunity to experience life from the perspective of many different types of individuals.
From 1990 to 1998, I co-owned a group private practice in Duxbury, MA. During this period, I was also an instructor and supervisor at the Harvard Medical School at Cambridge Hospital.
From 1998 to 2020, I was part of the ownership team at Brookside Counseling Associates LLC, in Hingham, MA. Our group practice worked with individuals, couples, and families. In addition, I provided in-house consultation in a primary care setting.
From 2015 to the present, I have acted as a volunteer mentor for Transitioning Together (T2) at Newton North High School (Newton, MA). This program assists students who will become first-generation college students in navigating through the often daunting college application process and offers continued support throughout their entire college career.
I am married to a loving wife and the father of two adult children.
